Day 2 of Second Dose

So yesterday was another mild success.. kind of, Still attacking the ferret, but ignoring him first, almost like she's forgotten who he was then suddenly remembers 'Oh yeah! I hate him...'

the homeopath said to keep up on this remedy and we shall see where this will take us.

Tuesday -
-She is almost a hound the amount she is sniffing everywhere...
-She frantically barked at the neighbour, then cowards off when he went to pet her (still unsure of men)
-At guides she barked at a mom that was wearing a hat (hat=men in little dog language?)
-VERY affectionate
-Slept on my lap during late night TV watching
-Was sleeping on my lap, then randomly, she jumped off and looked at the spot as if there was something else there... it was weird to say the least..
-She was good with the girls at guides and was more adventurous, and not so clingy to me.

I guess she's doing good, but I just want her to not give a crud about the ferret now.

Remedy Dose 2 - Day 1

Last night I got into contact with my homeopath and we decided that we are going to try to Belladonna LM03 again and see how it works out for week #2

I'm not sure how food effects a remedy, but it said on the package 'take away from food' well of course living in the house of other people, and roommates ect. The dog got fed - about 20 mins after her second dose.. Fabulous.

I'm hoping it's okay and the remedy doesn't leave her body or anything..

Last night after her remedy(Monday night):
-Hyper
-Affectionate/cuddly
-Acted hungry (was hungry I don't feed her till nighttime)
-fell asleep quickly

This morning: (Tuesday morning)
-Woke up instantly when the alarm when off
-played fetch a few times
-took the ferret out (she ignored him for about 5 mins)
-Attacked the ferret, nipping his tail and lunging.

The following days after

I've had the last few days off, (Friday to Monday) and didn't get around to updating this fabulous blog.
I've had a lot of stuff going on that I didn't even think to check up on this. (and well, I lost my notes on Thursday and Friday as far as our 'cure' is going.

I remember a bit, but I'm a little disappointed that I've lost my notes.
Tuesday Night
Panting heavily in sleep
Giving family members attention (usually just goes downstairs and sleeps in 'our' living space)
She didn't want to train at all during the day
needy, scratches leg for attention

Wednesday
Appetite normal
needy, scratches leg for attention
holding toys possessively
attacking, whining, and barking at ferret cage
cuddly towards us

Thursday
aggressively lunging at ferret cage
seems hungrier than normal (was fed late, but is normally fed at night)
possessively trying to find ferret when out
wouldn't train

Friday
Sleepy, at 7 o'clock
seemed disoriented (people were over and she just laid there and slept)
scratched leg for attention
couldn't let ferret out because she was very aggressive, lunging

Saturday
Slept in late (noon)
ate three times today, 3 'smaller' meals
went for a walk and ignored my cues (when off leash wouldn't respond to recall)
possessively watching ferret
nipped at ferret a few times

Sunday
People were over and she layed at their side
Sleepy early on
(baked all day) and she sat there and watched
barked and lunged at ferret
wouldn't play with toys because focused on ferret
thirsty

I think I can say that this is not the right remedy for us.

Day 2

Today is day three after giving my little one the remedy.

Last night - Tuesday night:
I took the ferret out, and she ignored him for about 5 mins, he even went up to her and sat on her tail. After five mins, she started getting aggressive body language. Standing straight, half moon eyes, and tail straight in the air. - Hmm, well it was a start.

She is being very protective of her toys, not one in particular, just whatever one you decided to pick up 'is her new favourite for the time being'. Before, she would only carry around toys if she was in heat, or having a false pregnancy.

She seems to have more energy (for outside), Yesterday I took her to girl guides and we ran up and down the block and sniffed in the snow. The little one keeps forgetting that she loves snow - and doesn't mind mild cold.
So we took her for a much needed walk, with this cold snap out here, the only exercises was tug, fetch and let's run up and down the stairs! Not much, but sufficient for now for my 7lb bundle of love.

Also, for some reason, she doesn't like men when she first meets them. So when at guides, usually at the last 10 minutes I'd have to go put the little one in the car, or put her on a mat away from the parent's so when dad's come and get their daughters, they don't have to put up with a mad barking dog. - BUT yesterday, she did really good, she barked twice. Both times, she was startled by someone rattling at the doors, but not at any dads. YAY!

Oh and the little one is sleeping in places she normally doesn't, like my lap,  normally she will come give me a kiss or two and run off to bed to sleep, or the couch, or the laundry basket. But last night she slept on my lap while watching Glee.

We trained for about 20 mins and the little one learned 'left paw' now she can decipher between right and left paw for touching a target or shaking a paw =] We made progress! We haven't been able to train anything in the last 5 months without her running off and checking the ferret and me getting flustered. (She's focusing again!)

This morning - Wednesday Morning
The little one is up first thing like normal, squeaking her toys in my ear to wake me up 20 mins before my alarm. She wasn't hungry today, and dragged her breakfast to the middle of the floor and sat there looking at me for something 'better'.

Hmm, I thought I said it wouldn't be long today... SORRY!

This is the beginning of our journey

Day 1 -

After a long while of thought, then an extra long time trying to convince my husband.
I have decided to try Homeopathy to help solve my dog's problems with aggression, that have occurred with vaccines.

I contacted a Homeopath that I trust with my best friend. We have gone over the case

Which so you are all in the know, My dog has been gradually more aggressive depending on her surroundings, and company. When she isn't aggressive, she's being jealous and protective. She has started resource guarding her food and toys, and has gone into 3 false pregnancies in the last 2 years. We have been doing excessive training lately because of school, and recently she has been completely preoccupied by what I'm doing (trying to train her) and must be checking on what everything else in the house is. (we have a ferret and other distractions within the house)

The remedy i've received is:

Belladonna LM03 1/2 dram vile

unfortunately I wasn't able to get 1/2 dram vile, so instead I just got

Belladonna LM03

My instruction are to put one dry pellet into a 4oz amber bottle, with 4oz of water. Then vigorously tap the bottle against something (like the palm of your hand) ten times to energize the remedy. After tapping the bottle 10 times, take one teaspoon from the bottle and dilute it into a cup with another 4 oz of water.  Stir this second dilution 5 times, in a cascading /upward motion.  Then take one teas from that dilution and give it as a dose.

I guess the remedy itself is not what cures, but it is the energy of the remedy while heals.

Last night I gave my little one a dose of the remedy, and this is her reactions.

Day 1 of Remedy:
- She is quiet cuddly and affectionate, a pinch more than before.
- Willing to go outside for a potty break in the cold weather
- She is possessively holding onto a toy (bringing it everywhere) although it's more playful then reactive behaviour
- She got more energy before bed
- Her eyes were slightly glassy
- Sat down in front of the ferret cage quietly without attacking

Day 2 Morning of the Remedy:
- Itching more then usual (right side)
- Ignored ferret for a half hour after waking up then aggressively attacked the cage
- Playful and affectionate in the morning
- Sat infront of the ferret cage and whined.

I promise the next couple updates wont be so longg!!

I will update tomorrow with hopefully better news.
